5 Alternatives to Lorazepam (Ativan)

In this article, we’ve distilled a list of 5 alternatives to lorazepam (also known as Ativan). If there is a message that we cannot reiterate enough on this site, it is this: Benzodiazepines are really, really bad for you. While it’s true that it will take a week or two before the process of dependency begins to occur, these are still very unsafe drugs to be taking in any quantity. However, they also happen to be very effective tranquilizers when it comes to anxiety and the symptoms associated with it.

That’s why we wanted to find natural remedies which could be just as effective as lorazepam (again – it’s usually marketed under the brand name Ativan) for short-term anxiolytic purposes. The majority of the fast-acting remedies we’re going to discuss here have been discussed at other points in time on Natural Anxiety Meds, but there are also a few new ones here that are definitely worth looking into. Without further ado, here’s the list (please also note that they are in no particular order):

1. Magnesium Supplements

Magnesium is one of those minerals that seems to play a role in just about everything. Without it, you’d have a lot of trouble. In fact, you probably wouldn’t be alive. 3. Silexan Supplements

    Calms pills work for me, even at times of very high anxiety and stress…even pmt.

    Remember, for normal anxiety, a healthy body is a happy and calm body, therefore, vitamins, oils and minerals work wonders, as your body has what it needs to function, a healthy diet is also important, it’s easy to ask your doctor for help if you need a balanced diet.

    However, if you are suffering from real anxiety related disorders which are disrupting your entire life and bringing on other problems such as depression and neglect of basic needs, go to your doctor, no amount of self proclaimed experts, dietary supplements, health gurus, workouts, snake oil or herbal miracle cures will ever make you better.

    Keep that in mind, give these things about 3 months, if you feel no difference, do yourself a favor and go to the doctor, don’t keep trying a new brand, if you read closely, most of them have the same ingredients, so don’t stall.

    Can these be mixed with 20 most of atavin? My daughter is fighting panic attacks, anxiety. Under a dOct care. Is on some magnesium and some b12. Has helped with panic attacks, sleeping better. Hearts is racing at 102-117.
