TranquiliX is an anti-anxiety dietary supplement manufactured by Neuro Research Institute.

TranquiliX is yet another best-selling anti-anxiety dietary supplement on the market today. It is manufactured by Neuro Research Institute, a dietary supplement firm founded in 2013. The company utilizes a proprietary technology known as the “Assimilation Enhancing System” (AES for short) which it claims can “increase nutrient bioavailability” while “decreasing the digestive burden.” The company’s chief researcher is Dr. Tracy Gibbs.

In this article, we’ll examine the ingredients of TranquiliX, its theoretical and actual efficacy, product reviews, and where you can purchase it online. As always, if you’ve tried TranquiliX in the past, please be sure to leave a comment about your experience below – this will help educate other anxiety sufferers who are on the market for a natural dietary supplement.

Analysis of Ingredients

Name of Ingredient Description
5-HTP 5-HTP is a very important ingredient in serotonin, a neurotransmitter that gives you a feeling of contentedness and calm. It is speculated that increasing the supply of 5-HTP (also known as 5-Hydroxytryptophan) will subsequently enable your body to manufacture more serotonin, thus imparting those benefits to a greater degree.
Lavender Powder (Lavandula dentata syn ofcinalis) Lavender has long been used as a remedy for any number of ailments, and its importance in traditional and alternative medicine cannot be understated. Formulations of lavender have also been utilized to design supplements which have an anxiolytic benefit. In particular, a lavender oil formulation known as Silexan has been found to be just as effective as lorazepam in treating anxiety disorders.
Valerian Root 1% Valerenic Acid (Valeriana ofcinalis) Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) is a perennial herb that has been found to have anxiolytic and sedative properties for many individuals. It is speculated that it acts via the GABA receptor system, though more research is needed to determine its exact mechanism of action. For individuals who are attempting to taper down from a benzodiazepine addiction, we do not recommend consuming any supplements that contain ingredients which interact with GABA.
Passion Flower 3% Isovitexins (Passiflora incarnata) Although further research into the anxiolytic benefits of passiflora incaranata is still pending, we do know that it functions primarily by modulating the GABA receptor system (much like valerian and other similar herbs).
Chamomile 1% Apigenin (Matricaria recutita) Chamomile has been a remedy for anxiety and other ailments for centuries. Although it is typically associated with chamomile teas, it is also used in a number of dietary supplements, including this one. Scientists have discovered a tentative beneficial effect of chamomile on anxiety, although more research is needed to confirm these results.
L-Theanine An amino acid that is found within green tea and other sources is L-theanine. A study conducted by the Japanese University of Shizuoka found that L-theanine consumption was associated with stress relief.
Catnip Herb (Nepeta cataria) Although you might think that catnip is just for cats – and to be sure, watching a cat get high off of this herb is a lot of fun – the herb known as nepeta cataria actually has useful properties for us humans as well. In fact, this plucky herb can provide numerous benefits, including stress relieving properties.
Peppermint Leaf (Mentha x piperita) The peppermint leaf is an effective herbal remedy for anxiety, although it is one that is not often discussed in the mainstream scientific literature. The truth of the matter is that peppermint has long been used as a traditional medicinal remedy for a number of ailments, both physical and psychological.
Hops Flower (Humulus lupulus) Like valerian and other herbs, hops are often used to treat insomnia and anxiety. They are included in this supplement for that same purpose, although the scientific literature on the subjecgt is currently lacking.
Skullcap Root Powder Extract (Scutellaria baicalensis) Skullcap – though it has a rather ominous-sounding name – has been used as medicinal herb for many generations. In the past, it was used by native americans to treat rabies, but now it is a fundamental part of many anti-anxiety dietary supplements.
Melatonin Last but not least is melatonin. It’s a very common hormone that is typically at its greatest when it begins to get dark. Consuming melatonin is bound to make you sleepy and relaxed.

Although we have uncovered a number of scientific papers which point to the efficacy of the individual ingredients in TranquiliX with regards to anxiety relief, it is essential note that there have been no scientific studies conducted which can definitively affirm the effectiveness of TranquiliX. We will discuss this matter in greater depth in the next section.

Supporting Scientific Evidence

At the time of writing, we were unable to uncover any scientific studies which specifically affirmed the validity of using TranquiliX to treat anxiety. Unfortunately, given the vast number of dietary supplements on the market today, it is unlikely that you will find many peer-reviewed, independent studies undertaken to determine the efficacy of each one. Nevertheless, the individual ingredients which constitute TranquiliX DO have supporting scientific evidence for their use in the treatment of anxiety disorders. Here is a list of those relevant studies:

Side Effects

No side effects for TranquiliX were provided by the manufacturer. For more information about potential side effects, it may be a good idea to check out the individual research entries for the ingredients that we have covered on Natural Anxiety Meds. Otherwise, it may also be helpful to read through customer reviews to identify other possible side effects resulting from consumption of this product.

Safety Information

The manufacturer has provided the following safety information on the product’s sales page:

Do not exceed recommended dose. Pregnant or nursing mothers, children under the age of 18, and individuals with a known medical condition should consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement.

Customer Reviews

An important concept to keep in mind when you read through the customer reviews for a dietary supplement is that many of these companies actively attempt to manipulate their reviews. Oftentimes, they will try to justify this manipulation with language like “{Product} was given to me for free in exchange for my honest review” when in reality the “honest review” in question is little more than a distortion of the underlying marketing tactics.

To this end, our research uncovered sponsored reviews. Does this discovery mean that all of the reviewers were “paid off?” Likely, the answer is no. However, you should use your own discretion when purchasing this product. Overall, Amazon customer reviews show that TranquiliX is an effective supplement. Whether or not this ends up being the case for you will depend on your individual circumstances and body chemistry. It’s important to take those reviews with a grain of salt until you can try the product out for yourself.

Hi! I purchased TranquiliX – 90 Caps #1 Top Rated For Rapid Anxiety and Stress Relief – Pharmaceutical Grade Anti-Anxiety Formula for Relaxation and Stress Reduction on Amazon and received it yesterday. I have a very big problem with anxiety and difficulty relaxing after work in the evening. I took 3 of the pills last night and did not feel very different. Do you have any suggestions? Should I increase the dose? Would it help to open the capsules and dissolve in warm water and drink? Thank you so much for any suggestions. I would love for this product to help me. Please email me.
